Job Overview:

The HR Generalist is an all-rounder in the HR team, responsible for managing a wide range of HR functions including attendance monitoring, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance support, compliance, and employee engagement. This role supports smooth HR operations by maintaining accurate records, executing HR programs, and ensuring employee support throughout the lifecycle.

This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, proactive in communication, capable of handling confidential information, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and critical support environment.

This is a night shift position with a schedule of 9am EST - 6pm EST. Candidates must have experience with and have the ability to work the night shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Employee Records and Data Management
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (digital & physical).
    • Process changes such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and transfers.
    • Ensure data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Generate HR reports and analytics as needed.
    • Keep all HR trackers and databases (e.g., SharePoint) updated.
  2. Attendance & Timekeeping
    • Monitor attendance and timekeeping data regularly.
    • Facilitate ATD (Attendance to Disciplinary) processes when needed.
    • Assist in employee verification letters and timekeeping reports.
    • Support manual payroll processing and reporting as required.
  3. Recruitment and Onboarding Support
    • Support full-cycle recruitment (posting, screening, scheduling).
    • Track and monitor pre-employment requirements and walkthroughs.
    • Coordinate background and reference checks.
    • Prepare onboarding documents and conduct orientations.
    • Ensure a smooth and organized onboarding experience.
  4. Employee Relations
    • Draft Notices to Explain (NTEs), Decision Memos, and other disciplinary documents.
    • Participate in employee meetings and documentation of related discussions.
    • Coordinate and execute regularization processes.
    • Address employee inquiries and escalate appropriately.
  5. Benefits Administration
    • Manage employee HMO benefits from enrollment to cancellation and renewal.
    • Propose, coordinate, and track other benefit initiatives.
    • Address benefit-related queries and maintain up-to-date documentation.
  6. Engagement & Culture Initiatives
    • Lead employee engagement activities from proposal to execution.
    • Coordinate with departments and vendors as needed.
    • May require occasional visits to government offices or event locations.
  7. HR Administration and Documentation
    • Handle HR-related correspondence (letters, memos, emails).
    • Support documentation of HR policies, updates, and procedures.
    • Manage employee files and maintain orderly HR records.
    • Coordinate with internal teams for smooth document flow.
  8. General Administrative Support
    • Support meeting scheduling, presentation prep, and calendar management.
    • Process HR-related invoices and expenses.
    • Maintain office/pantry supplies (if onsite).
    • Assist in ongoing HR projects, initiatives, and compliance reporting.
  9. Compliance and Legal
    • Ensure HR practices align with labor regulations and internal policies.
    • Support audit preparation and compliance reviews.
    • Stay updated with evolving HR laws and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in an HR administrative or generalist role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, policies, and labor laws.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and follow-through abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Canva, and basic tools like PowerApps or automation platforms.
  • Strong time management and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Open to flexible schedules and occasional field visits (e.g., government offices or events).
