Job Description
The Tuition Coordinator manages the billing and collection of tuition fees for the MBA program. They ensure accurate financial transactions, administer payment plans, and provide customer service to students regarding tuition-related matters.
Responsibilities
- Generate tuition bills and fee statements for students.
- Administer payment plans and monitor student account balances.
- Process payments, refunds, and adjustments in compliance with financial policies.
- Respond to student inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the financial aid office on student funding and scholarship awards.
- Maintain accurate records of student financial transactions.

Success Metrics
- Timeliness of Tuition Processing: Assessing how quickly tuition payments are processed and applied to student accounts, ensuring minimal delays and efficient handling of financial transactions.
- Accuracy in Billing and Invoicing: Monitoring the accuracy of tuition bills and invoices sent to students, ensuring that charges are correctly calculated and documented.
- Collection Rates: Tracking the percentage of tuition fees collected on time versus outstanding balances, which reflects the effectiveness of the coordinator in managing payment deadlines and follow-ups.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensuring adherence to institutional policies, federal and state regulations, and compliance with financial aid requirements related to tuition and fee management.
- Budget Management and Reporting: Collaborating with financial departments to manage tuition revenue budgets effectively and providing accurate financial reports on tuition income and expenditures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in financial operations or student accounts management.
- Knowledge of billing systems and financial software.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
