Job Description

Be part of our client's team as a Data Governance Technician, where you will play a key role in ensuring data quality, security, and compliance. You will manage data governance frameworks, conduct audits, provide training, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain industry-leading standards.

Job Overview

Employment Type: Full-time

Shift: Monday - Friday, 10:00 PM to 07:00 AM, Weekends Off

Work Setup: Permanent Work from Home

The Qualifications We Seek

  • Associate-level education, preferably in IT or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience with data governance frameworks and tools.
  • Deep understanding of data governance principles and practices.
  • Experience with access control software and hardware.
  • Experience working in a server room environment.
  • Knowledge of the OneTrust Privacy Management platform (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint).
  • Strong visual acuity, speech clarity, and hearing ability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Willingness to work night shifts.

Your Daily Tasks

  • Train and guide team members and stakeholders on data governance best practices.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of records, including file plan creation, maintenance, records disposition, and email management.
  • Research and monitor industry trends, best practices, and advancements in data governance.
  • Conduct data quality audits to ensure compliance with governance standards.
  • Develop reports and metrics to measure data governance performance.
  • Coordinate the transfer and retrieval of records in accordance with established standards.
  • Complete assigned tasks reliably and contribute to data governance and compliance goals.
  • Prepare log sheets, reports, and production summaries, and conduct quality control checks for scanning activities.
  • Utilize privacy management tools for risk assessments, data mapping, and audits.
  • Oversee the administration of physical access systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data governance processes and decisions.
  • Respond to Level 1 Data Governance Tickets promptly and efficiently.
