IT Technical Support role providing hardware and software support, troubleshooting, maintenance and updates for office users. You will resolve technical errors, install and upgrade security software, perform testing and evaluations of new software and hardware, and maintain accurate inventory of IT resources.
Key responsibilities
- Provide hardware and software support including setup, troubleshooting, maintenance and updates
- Provide support on technical related requests and concerns for office users and resolve technical errors
- Install and upgrade anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level
- Perform tests and evaluations of new software and hardware
- Maintain current and accurate inventory of computers, IP Phones and other IT related resources
- Prepare technical documents such as error and maintenance reports
- Perform preventive maintenance schedules and other related duties as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology or related field
- At least experience as technical support or in a similar role
- Proficiency in computer operating systems such as MS Windows, MAC OS
- Good understanding of computer equipment, including laptops, desktops, printers and other office related equipment
- Ability to install and administer computer hardware, software and at least basic network troubleshooting
- Troubleshooting abilities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic MS Office knowledge
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
