About the role

IES Builders and Supply Corporation is seeking an experienced Accountant Officer to join our dynamic team in Davao City, Davao del Sur. This full-time position plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of our growing construction and supply business. As the Accountant Officer, you will leverage your expertise in financial accounting and reporting to support the overall objectives of the company.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of all financial accounts and transactions
  • Produce timely and insightful financial reports, statements and analyses for management
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and recommendations
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and controls
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in financial accounting

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and MS Office applications
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
