The Role
As the Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and optimising our data infrastructure. You will focus on implementing scalable data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration across systems, and enabling data-driven decision-making. Expertise in Snowflake, data modelling, and Amazon QuickSight will be critical as you support our mission to provide personalised, data-driven learning experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Data Infrastructure Development: Design, build, and optimise robust data pipelines to support company's learning platforms and analytics needs.
  • Snowflake Expertise: Manage and optimise Snowflake environments for performance, cost efficiency, and security. Design scalable solutions leveraging Snowflake's capabilities.
  • Amazon QuickSight: Develop and maintain dashboards and visualisations using Amazon QuickSight to provide actionable insights to business and educational teams. Ensure data accuracy and alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Data Modelling: Develop and maintain logical, physical, and conceptual data models to ensure data consistency, quality, and scalability across multiple platforms and business units.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the product team and business stakeholders to deliver analytics and dashboards and improve the use of data across company's learning ecosystem. Enable key data users to self-serv any analytics they need.
  • Data Integration: Develop ETL/ELT processes and workflows to integrate data from various sources (including CRM, LMS, and AI systems) into a unified data warehouse.
  • Performance Optimisation: Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance, ensuring minimal downtime and robust error handling.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement best practices to secure sensitive data and comply with relevant data privacy regulations.
Requirements:
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proven experience in Snowflake data platform management.
    • Strong skills in data modelling, schema design, and performance optimisation.
    • Proficiency with Amazon QuickSight, including creating dashboards, visualisations, and connecting multiple data sources.
    • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
    • Proficiency in SQL.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
  • Problem-Solving and Analysis:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design solutions for complex data scenarios.
Work Schedule:
  • Monday- Friday 6am-3pm/7am-4pm PH time
