Job DescriptionDescriptionBenevola de Cebu Foundation Inc. (BDCFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of Asociacion Benevola de Cebu, Inc. (ABDCI), is seeking a proactive and innovative Communications and Public Relations Officer to strengthen the foundation's visibility and advocacy efforts. Working closely with the Executive Director, the role is pivotal in crafting compelling narratives, managing media relationships, and promoting the foundation's programs. The ideal candidate will excel in content creation, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications while upholding the foundation's mission and values.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in communications or public relations, ideally in the nonprofit or development sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing social media platforms and crafting communication campaigns.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and public speaking skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in photo and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Suite, Canva).
- Strong knowledge of branding, media relations, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Passion for community development and advocacy work.
Communications:
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to amplify the foundation's impact and initiatives.
- Create, curate, and manage high-quality content for various platforms, including newsletters, blogs, social media, brochures, and reports.
- Maintain a consistent and engaging presence across social media platforms, ensuring alignment with the foundation's branding and messaging.
- Design and implement an editorial calendar to streamline messaging across channels.
- Monitor and analyze communication campaigns, providing actionable insights to improve engagement and outreach.
- Foster internal communication to ensure alignment and awareness across all divisions/subsidiaries and stakeholders.
Public Relations:
- Establish and nurture relationships with media contacts to ensure positive coverage of the foundation's activities and milestones.
- Draft and disseminate press releases, media kits, and advisories to highlight key initiatives.
- Oversee the foundation's branding in all public-facing materials to ensure consistency and professionalism.
- Act as the foundation's liaison with local government units, community leaders, and partner organizations, strengthening collaboration and advocacy.
- Coordinate media engagement for events, including press conferences, speaking engagements, and on-site media presence.
- Develop and implement crisis communication strategies to safeguard the foundation's reputation.
