- Leads teams of two to four associates, performing and overseeing audit engagements, and provides regular updates on audit engagement status to supervisors
- Applies knowledge and understanding of governing principles of Governmental Accounting Standards (GASB); applying these principles to client transactions; and documenting and communicating an understanding and application of these principles
- Identifies, analyzes, and discusses alternative GASB accounting principles for the client, when necessary, with the engagement supervisor
- Conduct financial statement audits for government clients, ensure the accuracy and reliability of client financial information
- Responsible for seeing that all engagements are complete and ready for supervisor review within the established time frame and budget for engagements in accordance with Client's quality control policies
- Acts as a change agent; sets an example by accepting change and proactively supporting change (e.g. change in audit tools, different audit approach for the client, etc.)
- Develop staff by serving as a mentor and delegating and training them to be successful in their careers
- Provides constructive formal and informal feedback in a timely manner to all levels
- Maintain continuing education requirements for Government Auditing Standards (GAS)
- Additional duties as assigned

- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Managing multiple audit client engagements throughout the year
- B.A./B.S. in Accounting
- 3+ years of public accounting experience
- Understanding of US GAAS and US GAAP
- Experience with public sector entities and related organizations preferred
- Single audit and Uniform Guidance experience preferred
Onsite/Hybrid/Work from home
Work ScheduleDuring training: 9:00pm to 6:30am; Post-training: 6:00am to 3:30pm
