Job Summary:
The MIS Specialist is responsible for managing the company's management information systems, ensuring accurate data collection, storage, and reporting to support strategic planning and decision-making processes. Working closely with the Data Analytics Supervisor, this role involves the development, maintenance, and improvement of data systems and reporting tools to ensure that the company has access to relevant, timely, and accurate information. The MIS Specialist will support various departments by providing key performance reports, data analysis, and insights to guide corporate planning and strategy development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management & Reporting:
  • Manage and maintain the company's management information systems (MIS) to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability.
  • Design, generate, and distribute regular reports on key business metrics to support corporate planning.
  • Provide ad hoc reports and data analysis as requested by the Corporate Planning Manager and other departments.
  • Data Analysis & Insights:
  • Analyze data from various sources (e.g., CRM, financial systems, sales reports) to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for corporate planning initiatives, aiding in the company's strategic decision-making process.
  • Assist in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor company performance and departmental objectives.
  • System Development & Optimization:
  • Work with IT to ensure the MIS infrastructure meets the needs of the company, recommending system upgrades or enhancements when necessary.
  • Collaborate with various departments (Sales, Credit and Collections, IT, HR, Finance) to identify areas where processes can be automated or improved through MIS.
  • Develop and implement data management best practices to ensure the efficient storage, retrieval, and use of data across the organization.
  • Data Integrity & Compliance:
  • Ensure that data within the MIS is accurate, complete, and secure, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Maintain documentation of data management processes, data flows, and system structures to ensure consistent data governance.
  • Work with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure that MIS reports support regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Support for Corporate Planning:
  • Provide data-driven support for corporate planning initiatives, including Balanced Scorecard, SWOT analysis, market analysis, and business forecasting.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management based on data insights, ensuring clear communication of strategic findings.
  • Participate in strategic planning meetings to provide relevant data and insights as required by the Corporate Planning Manager.
  • Training & Support:
  • Provide training and support to other departments on using the MIS tools and systems for data access and reporting.
  • Act as a liaison between the IT department and other business units to ensure that system changes or updates are communicated and implemented effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in management information systems, data analysis, or business intelligence, preferably in a financial or corporate planning environment.
  • Proficient in data management tools, reporting systems, and databases (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar tools).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data clearly.
  • Experience working with corporate planning, strategic planning, or business intelligence functions is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with management information systems in a financial services or lending environment.
  • Knowledge of business process automation and CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance requirements in financial services.
