MAIN PURPOSE OF THE

JOB

To provide strategic direction and manage the Supply Chain

Management functional areas to ensure compliance with SCM

prescripts, policies and procurement.

AREAS

❖ SCM Strategy, Policy and procedure development and review

❖ Manage SCM functional areas

❖ Management and Budget Reporting

❖ People Management

REQUIRED MINIMUM

QUALIFICATION

❖ Matric (NQF Level 4) and a Bachelors' degree(NQF Level 7) plus

Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) or Post Graduate Diploma (NQF

Level 8) in Supply Chain/Financial Management

❖ Master's Degree (NQF Level 9) as added advantage

REQUIRED WORK

EXPERIENCE

❖ 8 - 10 year's work experience in Supply Chain Management or

Financial Management environment of which 5 years must have

been in management level

❖ Comprehensive knowledge of public sector SCM legislative

❖ Comprehensive knowledge of SCM policy and procedures,

PFMA, PPPFA, National Treasury Regulations, GRAP and BBBEE

amended Codes of Good Practice and all other applicable

legislations

❖ Knowledge of King III Report on Corporate Governance

❖ Knowledge of Risk Management
