Develop, design & improve packaging, create packaging specifications, design label formats, develop packaging suppliers, and establish standards and criteria for packaging materials and testing. Focus on productivity, reducing time, building systems, maintaining ISO documents and standards. Manage and troubleshoot packaging issues to ensure compliance with requirements and achieve cost savings aligned with TE policies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Packaging RDO for development and design
  • Discuss with PE, customer, and RDO based on requirements for product packaging; design packaging accordingly
  • Confirm packaging design, apply for proofing, send to FSR for detection, and evaluate samples based on testing results
  • Control drawings through PDMLink and related systems
  • Collect ECR information, conduct feasibility evaluation, and release ECR to ensure packaging meets requirements and standards
  • Develop and set standards and criteria for packaging materials and testing to meet customer and TE quality requirements
  • Implement packaging improvements and cost-saving initiatives
  • Participate in supplier assessments to support supplier selection
  • Contribute to environmental protection, occupational health, fire, and safety documentation and training
  • Understand customer and RDO needs accurately
  • Develop and design packaging based on product requirements
  • Evaluate BOM based on customer requirements and TE quality standards
  • Qualify packaging materials and develop suppliers
  • Collaborate with Global COE Assembly for continuous improvement
  • Create packaging specifications for each product
  • Train new hires and trainees
  • Review TEOA deployment and ISO documents, participate in audits

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Packaging Engineering, or related engineering fields (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Industrial)
  • 3+ years' experience in automation assembly and tooling design & development
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Pro E / Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
  • Knowledge of MS Office; SAP experience is a plus
  • Integrity, accountability, good communication, outgoing personality
  • Practitioner of ergonomic and lean manufacturing principles
