Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position of Sr. IT Specialist will be assigned to the Infrastructure and Technology Division (ITID) within the Information Technology Department (ITD). ITD manages the information systems and technology services required for ADB's Headquarters and Field Offices. ITID is responsible for the design, governance, implementation, maintenance, and day-to-day operations of ADB's technology infrastructure, platforms, security, and associated systems. This division works to ensure that the Bank's production technology systems are operational and available to the people of ADB and continually monitors the bank's infrastructure and applications for potential security threats and breaches. This division also stays abreast of the latest developments in end-user devices, mobility, and technology architecture to ensure ADB is taking advantage of the latest technologies when it makes business sense. The scope of ITID includes the IT infrastructure at the ADB Headquarters in Manila and extends to the Microsoft Azure Data Center in Geneva, and the ADB field offices across the world. You will be based in our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

You will report to Director, ITID and will oversee junior team members.

Your Role
As a Senior IT Specialist (Cloud Infrastructure & Operations), you will manage cloud operations, infrastructure automation, and the design and architecture of cloud resources. You will ensure efficient and secure management of cloud environments and contribute to optimizing cloud resource usage and cost efficiency.

You will:

  • Manage the strategy, architecture, capacity planning, engineering, support, and maintenance of cloud operations and infrastructure automation across the organization.
  • Design and implement cloud resource groups, virtual networks, and network security groups to ensure organized and secure cloud environments.
  • Develop and enforce policy management to adhere to organizational standards and compliance requirements.
  • Integrate monitoring and observability solutions for real-time data collection, analysis, and action on cloud resources.
  • Organize and manage cloud resources and accounts to ensure governance and compliance.
  • Implement automation and orchestration solutions to streamline cloud operations and workflows.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud spending and resource usage for cost management and efficiency.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of application architecture and dependencies to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of applications within cloud environments.
Qualifications

You will need:

  • Master's degree or equivalent, or University degree with at least 5 years of specialized experience relevant to the position can be considered.
  • At least 10 years work experience, 5 years of which must be in IT cloud operations and infrastructure automation.
  • International experience working in several countries.
  • Ability to act as a mission leader / team lead, exercising supervision, coordination, and planning responsibilities over the assigned team, with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
