About the role:

We are excited to announce an opportunity for the Analyst – Product Insights role. In this position, you will be responsible for analysing market trends, consumer behaviour, and product performance to provide actionable insights that support Orica's marketing strategies. You will work closely with senior managers and finance teams to drive data-driven decision-making and enhance the AusPac strategy.

This position will be based in our Pasig office and follows a hybrid setup.

What you will be doing:

Market & Product Analysis
  1. Gather, track, analyze, and report on pricing policies and margin outcomes for IS/EBS and bulk explosive categories.
  2. Develop and maintain analytical tools and reports to support market intelligence and strategic initiatives.
  3. Research and analyze competitor positioning and cost curves for NBA analysis.
  4. Develop market pricing segmentation concepts to support margin maximization and customer consistency across product portfolios.
  5. Provide analytical support for marketing strategy development, evaluation, and tracking.
Strategic Insights & Reporting
  1. Support the Vice President, senior managers, and the wider marketing team in implementing the marketing strategy across Orica teams.
  2. Maintain and update the demand model for AusPac to support strategic planning.
  3. Prepare and deliver fortnightly marketing updates to the regional president.
  4. Support the Voice of the Customer (VOC) program, ensuring monthly results are shared and customer data is updated.
  5. Conduct cost modeling related to the biannual rise and fall process for national list price reviews.
  6. Prepare cost-per-unit information for bid models.
  7. Prepare monthly unit price analysis, identifying material cost increases and investigating market impacts.
  8. Assess supply chain and manufacturing changes and their impact on product costing.
  9. Translate pricing changes into updated policies and ensure data is accurately reflected in the system.

What you will bring:

  1. Tertiary qualification in a technical or commercial discipline.
  2. Three or more years of experience as a commercial or marketing analyst.
  3. Strong financial analysis skills and commercial acumen.
  4. Experience in market intelligence, research, data analysis, and interpretation of multiple data sources.
  5. Ability to present insights and conclusions to executives and contribute to strategic discussions.
  6. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP; PowerBI experience is a plus.
