Human Centred Computing Section invites applicants for a 2-year Post Doctoral Fellowship in Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) within the NeuroGen Computing research project. The focus is on creating and implementing novel Project Supervision Tools for academic supervision of Bachelor and Master thesis projects, considering neurodivergent and neurotypical students and supervisors.

The PhD project is part of the NeuroGen Computing Research Project, funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. The start date is expected to be February 1st, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The postdoc will conduct research in CSCW and teaching, with potential additional duties.

The NeuroGen Computing Project

Addressing high dropout rates among women and neurodivergent students in computing, the project aims to reduce isolation, stigma, and burnout, especially among neurodiverse women. It builds on FemTech and seeks to create inclusive organizational conditions for diverse students to thrive and prepare for careers.

The project will:

  1. Design and create a data infrastructure for disability and accessibility information.
  2. Develop and scale innovative teaching methods in the first-year computer science program.
  3. Create and implement supervision tools supporting interaction between neurodivergent students and teachers.

This Post Doc focuses on developing and implementing supervision tools considering various neurodiversity constellations, such as students with ASD and teachers with ADHD, and anchoring these tools at DIKU for broader departmental adoption.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have backgrounds in CSCW, Human Computer Interaction, Computing Education, or related fields, with knowledge in accessibility and neurodiversity. Experience with academic supervision and creating inclusive interaction environments is preferred.

Research Group & Environment

The NeuroGen Computing group includes faculty, PhD students, a postdoc, and staff, situated within the Human-Centred Computing section at DIKU. The environment promotes diversity, collaboration, and support, with opportunities for networking and leadership among postdocs.

Terms of Employment

The position follows the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff, with a starting salary of approximately 38,700 DKK/month (April 2025 level), plus pension contributions. A supplement may be negotiated based on qualifications.
