Brief Job Summary

  • The HR Training Officer shall source and provide learning and training information and resources by conceptualizing and conducting through research and design. Develops and performs the tasks required in the training cycle. He/She also recommends learning and training interventions consistent with the SLMC needs and department's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the yearly planning of the Section's programs, scheduling of activities and finalization of the training calendar and preparing for the efficient budget and resource utilization of the Section and Department. Coordinates with the Section Manager and other managers for the overall plans of the department.
  • Attends meetings of training research and study groups and helps in the preparation of minutes and agenda.
  • Performs necessary tasks to carry out major duties such as encoding documents, coordinating appointments and meetings, follow-up calls to concerned associates/units.
  • Conducts periodic review and revisions of manuals and learning aids.
  • Prepares the effective delivery of the course by reviewing the process design, familiarization with the reading materials and verifying the contents for accuracy, relevance, format and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Summarizes and provides input on submitted reports of the section.
  • Participates in the department's and assigned section's objective-setting activities including semestral and annual performance review.
  • Reviews, identifies, and recommends enhancements to work processes, outputs, and standards.
  • Assists the Manager in monitoring the progress of learning and training research and design and recommends necessary adjustments.
  • Coordinates with the Manager and Assistant in the design and conduct of various learning and training programs as part of the section's consultative advocacy to the organization.
  • Develops appropriate and effective diagnostic tools and instruments (e.g. Survey forms, Interview questions, Learning interventions, etc.).
  • Records feedback results and follows up data gathered in learning and training research problems.
  • Monitors the progress of the program or activity and determines the adjustments to be made and recommends changes as deemed necessary.
  • Prepares necessary presentation documents and materials and assists the Section Manager for feedback presentation to Top Management.
  • Prepares and submits a regular feedback report to the Section Manager and target unit or group on the status of assigned programs or activities.
  • Provides assistance in the implementation of specific policies and programs directly related to training and other developmental needs of staff.
  • Performs cross-specialization function in the delivery of learning and training programs or any HR-related activities as assigned by the Managers.
  • Promotes department's learning and training programs and other related activities to other departments in the hospital through group orientations, meetings, and other collaborative promotional materials.
  • Performs effective delivery of corporate training curricula and orientation on new learning methodologies and strategies based on the organization's standards and resource materials.
  • Acts as a facilitator during the conduct of group discussions, meetings, and training programs initiated by the section or upon invitation by the department.
  • Assists in reviewing, planning, and preparing for the efficient budget and resource utilization of the section assigned.
  • Performs other tasks related to work requested by the Immediate Superior.

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Behavioral Science, Psychology, or any 4-year related course.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Training and Development.
  • Proficient communication and presentation skills required.
  • Well advanced in office program applications, online learning platforms, instructional design, graphics and video editing tools.
  • Willing to be assigned office-based either in Global City, Taguig or Quezon City.
  • Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.
