We are inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager - Credit Verification.

In this role, the associate is responsible for controlling credit verification/assessment processes and developing policies to ensure an acceptable level of risk is maintained.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure operations, strategies, and procedures are aligned with company goals and other functions.
  2. Develop, communicate, and implement medium to long-term operating policies, strategies, and tactics, involving interpretation and application of broader guidelines.
  3. Have ultimate accountability for the function and provide advice and recommendations when required.
  4. Maintain high compliance levels by setting high standards for files.
  5. Manage workflow from a national queue promptly.
  6. Complete credit verification checks to ensure application input meets bank policy and responsible lending requirements.
  7. Reach and maintain high standards of credit verification/assessment and compliance.
  8. Proactively monitor Credit Risk requirements within an agreed Risk Appetite and manage Non-Compliance promptly.
  9. Ensure Continuing Education points are achieved and maintained.
  10. Meet core role requirements and achieve performance KPIs such as throughput, productivity, and quality.
  11. Provide timely and quality responses to Brokers and Customers.
  12. Work in the interests of the team, sharing knowledge and assisting colleagues or other teams as directed.
Qualifications we seek in youMinimum Qualifications / Skills
  • University Graduates (B.Com)
  • Significant experience in Commercial Banking & CLL Domain
  • Ability and experience engaging with Banking & Commercial Lending Clients & SMEs
  • Understanding of the end-to-end Commercial Loan Lending lifecycle
  • Experience with Commercial Lending / Institutional banking operations, system expertise, and understanding of Booking and Servicing processes
  • Good communication and social skills, prior exposure to client conversations
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
  • Experience managing medium teams of approximately 30-40+ FTEs
  • Execution skills, solution identification, process mapping, and documentation skills
