Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.

  • Take ownership of projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within larger business initiatives.

  • Stabilize connections and minimize ERP downtime.

  • Manage business-critical IT tasks and systems administration.

  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software.

  • Track and maintain hardware and software inventory.

  • Analyze departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities, and enhance productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions.

  • Ensure network components meet operational needs and function seamlessly using their full capabilities; stay updated on new features and competitive solutions.

  • Continuously analyze current processes, technologies, and vendors to identify improvement areas.

  • Prepare cost-benefit analysis reports when upgrades are necessary; evaluate vendors to ensure optimal service and value.

  • Train employees in hardware use, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support as needed. Develop and execute disaster recovery procedures and maintain data backups.

  • Coach and develop IT staff to achieve their professional objectives.

  • Oversee the annual infrastructure budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.

  • Provide leadership in planning, implementation, and project management within the infrastructure domain.

  • Ensure Business Continuity Plan (BCP) readiness across all sites.

  • Responsible for the repair, allocation, and delivery of all IT equipment to operational teams, corporate departments, and executive staff.

  • Develop and implement an active risk assessment program focused on information security and privacy.

  • Prepare updates on infrastructure projects, including progress reports and risk assessments.

Job Qualifications

  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering-related course.

  • 8–15 years of experience in an IT environment or setting; FMCG experience is preferred but not required.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams by setting clear and challenging goals, providing coaching and feedback, motivating members, and evaluating individual and team performance with a passion for quality and a sense of ownership in achieving challenging goals.

  • Excellent communication skills—both oral and written—across various audiences; confident and assertive communication style.

  • Must be flexible and quick to adapt to sudden changes and issues.

  • Highly motivated individual, proactive learner, with proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Demonstrates high levels of patience and composure under pressure, especially in support, coaching, and training situations.

  • Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technologies and interfaces, and IT security.

  • Extensive experience in managing IT Security, Networks, Voice, Server, Cloud, and Applications Infrastructure.

  • Adequate knowledge of infrastructure components such as networking, telecommunications, and connectivity.

  • Domain expertise in networking, server management, LAN & WAN networks, switches, routers, firewalls, and cloud adoption.

  • Proficient in IT setup troubleshooting techniques.

  • Possesses a customer service mindset and experience working in diverse environments while collaborating with clients and IT teams across company locations.

  • Skilled in budget and cost analysis versus target efficiencies and savings.

  • Experience in POS system support and management.
