Experience: 10+ years

Type: Contract, 6 months, extendable

Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis
   1. Understand Business Requirements: Meet with business users and stakeholders to understand the organization's materials management processes, challenges, and objectives.
   2. Define Scope: Help define the scope of the SAP MM implementation or upgrade project based on the gathered requirements.
   3. Conduct Workshops: Facilitate workshops with business users to define and document their business processes.
2. Configuration of SAP MM Module
   1. System Configuration: Configure various functionalities of SAP MM, such as procurement, inventory management, and material master data.
   2. Vendor and Material Master Data Setup: Configure material types, procurement types, and vendor master records in SAP.
   3. Define Purchasing Organizations and Purchasing Groups: Set up purchasing organizations, groups, and document types for purchase orders and contracts.
   4. Goods Receipt and Goods Issue Processes: Set up processes related to goods receipt (GR) and goods issue (GI) for inventory management and material movements.
   5. Inventory Management Configuration: Configure stock management and inventory transactions such as stock transfers, stock take, and adjustments.
   6. Customizing Business Processes: Adapt SAP MM to meet the specific business needs, including designing workflows, approval processes, and report formats.
   7. Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with SAP ABAP developers to create custom reports, interfaces, or enhancements to meet business requirements.
   8. User Exits & BADI Implementations: Implement user exits or Business Add-Ins (BADIs) to extend the functionality of SAP MM.
3. Integration with Other SAP Modules
   1. SAP FICO Integration: Work with the Finance (FICO) team to ensure that procurement processes, goods receipts, and inventory movements are accurately reflected in the financial modules.
4. Testing and Validation
   1. Unit Testing: Perform unit testing to ensure individual components of the SAP MM module function correctly after configuration.
   2. Integration Testing: Conduct integration testing to validate end-to-end processes involving multiple modules (e.g., MM and SD).
   3. User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Support business users during UAT to ensure the system meets the business requirements and is ready for go-live.
5. Training & Knowledge Transfer
   1. End-User Training: Develop and deliver training materials for end-users on the processes and functionalities of SAP MM (e.g., creating purchase orders, managing inventory, etc.).
   2. Knowledge Transfer: Transfer knowledge to other team members, both functional and technical, to ensure smooth operations post-implementation.

   1. Functional Specifications: Create functional specification documents for any customizations, user exits, or developments required within SAP MM.
   2. Business Process Documentation: Document business processes and system configurations for future reference and compliance.
   3. Test Scripts: Prepare detailed test scripts for various scenarios to ensure the correct system behavior.
8. Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting
   1. Optimization: Continuously look for opportunities to optimize SAP MM processes, such as reducing cycle times, improving material tracking, and minimizing inventory costs.
   2. Troubleshooting: Analyze and troubleshoot system errors or performance issues in the MM module.
   3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other SAP consultants (e.g. FICO) to ensure seamless integration of processes across modules.
   4. Vendor Management: Work with vendors to ensure smooth procurement processes and resolve any issues related to purchase orders or vendor data.
   5. Upgrade Support: Support the organization during SAP system upgrades, including testing new features, ensuring compatibility with existing processes, and managing any configuration changes.
   6. Patch Application: Apply SAP notes or patches to resolve known issues or improve functionality in the MM module.
9. Change Management
   1. Change Request Management: Evaluate and manage change requests related to SAP MM from business users and ensure they are properly documented, tested, and implemented.
   2. Stakeholder Management: Communicate changes, new features, and potential impacts to stakeholders across departments.
