Job DescriptionDescription
  1. Ensures the success of the execution of the IT Engineering Project, specifically the Business Analysis portion.
  2. Ensures adequate staffing to complete the required analysis work.
  3. Manages the onboarding/off-boarding activities for Business Analyst resources who join or leave the team.
  4. Ensures the business analysis best practices are established and followed in the project.
  5. Leads the business analysts in requirements elicitations, producing necessary documentation and sign-off, transitioning the requirements to the Development team.
  6. Establishes any documentation templates such as Functional Requirements Specification, Integration Document, Data Mapping Document, Master Process Flow, etc. that are going to be used for the project.
  7. Ensures the team's documentation is accurate and complete and meets the agreed-upon standards and deadlines.
  8. Coaches the team in terms of interaction with stakeholders, facilitation skills, and participation in meetings.
  9. Identifies critical control points and preventive measures.
  10. Prepares metrics by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, system issues, recalls/rework, corrective actions, and audits.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  2. A minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in a technical business analyst role with a relevant tertiary qualification.
  3. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and accurately estimate development effort from specifications.
  4. An ability to positively adapt to change and make sure this change is reflected in the design and delivery of workable solutions.
  5. General understanding in the areas of application programming, system and database design would be an advantage.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and demonstrated track record of superior customer service.
  7. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  8. The ability to employ critical thinking, reasoning, and analytical skills when problem-solving in an IT development environment, interpreting complex scenarios, and providing clear and simple recommendations.
  9. The ability to manage priorities across a portfolio of multiple projects and BAU activities.
  10. Knowledge of Financial Services industry and/or Banking Operations.
  11. Proven ability to engage with stakeholders across business and technology domains.
  12. Knowledge and experience of all application layers – API, Backend, and UI.
  13. Knowledge and experience of SOAP and REST APIs and the ability to understand XML + Schemas and JSON.
  14. Knowledge and experience of SQL, SQL server, Technical Design – current and future state, advance processing modelling – UML, Data Analysis, Testing & Debugging.
  15. Previous Dev experience preferred but not required.
