Responsibilities
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on farm electrical systems, processes, controllers and electrical equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation and extended service life.
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and systems using test equipment and hand tools to locate and correct problems.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components; inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using devices such as mega-ohmmeters, voltmeters, or clamp meters to ensure safety and proper operation.
  • Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors; place conduit and pull insulated wires or cables to complete circuits.
  • Stay on-call during off-hours and rest days to maintain and ensure good running condition of all electrical equipment.
  • Attend electrical repairs and other requirements across multiple farms (Nucleus, Farm 2, Farm 3, Farm 4 and Farm 5).
  • Ensure compliance with 5S activities and ISO 9001:2001.
  • Recommend improvements KAIZEN as part of department quality improvements activities.
  • Support safety, quality, and food-safety initiatives and perform other tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of BS Electrical Engineering or BS Electronics & Communications Engineering
  • Experience: Preferably at least three (3) years in a related field
  • Other Requirements:
    • Working knowledge of instrumentation technology; electrical/electronics circuit design, troubleshooting and repair
    • Knowledge and understanding of farm technology
    • Familiarity with panel boards and other electronic device analysis and troubleshooting
