ROLE SUMMARY

Our client is seeking an Accounting Assistant, who will work as a part of the team and communicate frequently with the Accounting Executives. This role performs bookkeeping, accounting tasks, and administrative functions related to their clientele. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for delivering error-proof work with a positive and professional attitude.

SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays.

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Perform the following accounting-related preparation tasks:
  2. Prepare and update daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly updates on bookkeeping engagements.
  3. Prepare and book journal entries, adjustments, and monthly reconciliations.
  4. Reconcile balance sheet and profit and loss statements.
  5. Prepare monthly financial reports for simple clients.
  6. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close-outs.
  7. Assist with client and administrative projects.
  8. Perform the following administrative/miscellaneous tasks:
  9. Refer to the company's core values to assist in problem-solving.
  10. Manage calendar to schedule daily and weekly workload.
  11. Attend weekly meetings with specific accounting team members.
  12. Fulfill and update tasks in the BotKeeper AI platform.
  13. Maintain client checklists in Karbon.
  14. Respond to all comments on tasks and emails in Karbon.
  15. Participate in 1:1 check-ins to discuss individual goals, concerns, and growth.
  16. Attend daily huddle.
  17. Attend scheduled trainings and workshops.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in the related field.
  2. Experience in a multi-client environment.
  3. Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications.
  4. Strong organization, oral and written communication skills.
  5. Analytical skills with particular attention to detail.
  6. Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation.
  7. Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed.
