Job Description

An Insighting Specialist answers business problems by preparing data, organizing that data, and then analyzing the data to uncover underlying insights ("explains the why") so that business units can find actionable and meaningful insights that lead to business decisions or actions.

Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Data Management and Exploration: Drives the extraction, exploration, manipulation, and correlation of large and complex data sets – leveraging diverse telco data (CRM, Billing, transactional data, network data) with various external sources of data (market research, social, etc) for analytics and insighting.
  2. Perform statistical analysis and visualize key trends and patterns for thorough data analysis.
  3. Work with different CFUs (brand heads and managers alike), and enabling units to frame the right business questions to understand the state of business & customers - answerable via Analytics.
  4. Craft business analysis framework to answer key business questions: a) what is driving business performance and b) why it is happening.
  5. Generate deep and holistic understanding of the customer via profiling – demographic, geographic, behavioral, psychographic that enable data-driven strategic decision making.
  6. Leverage and integrate both internal and external data to marry on-ground realities and gather deeper insight into consumer's context and state of mind.
  7. Build cohort analyses, pre & post – to answer ad hoc business questions / post mortem and recommend potential strategies.
  8. Create visuals to add weight to the narrative and build an impactful data story to influence decision-making.
  9. Lead user and stakeholder education on the ways to read results of deep dive customer analytical studies.
  10. Enhance the data literacy of the business-users to become a data-driven organization.
  11. Help Stakeholders turn general business questions into much more targeted, actionable questions for better and correct analytical framework set up.
  12. Keep updated with new analytical and insighting techniques and be extremely knowledgeable of industry standards and trends.

Requirements

  1. 1-2 years experience in Analytics.
  2. Strong Data management and Analytics skills.
  3. Programming expertise in SQL, Open Sources (Python, R).
  4. Stakeholder management.
  5. Graduate of Statistics, Math, IT, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering.
