Job DescriptionDescriptionI. Job Summary
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for the general accounting function including preparation of journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers, and account and bank reconciliations. Assisting with monthly closings and account analysis with knowledge and experience in application of Philippine taxation.
II. Job Responsibilities
- Timely and efficient processing of approved invoices for payment which include preparation of check vouchers with the application of appropriate withholding tax, cutting of checks, and/or preparation of fund transfer applications.
- Handle releasing of checks to suppliers.
- Prepare journal vouchers.
- Input transactions into SAP accounting system.
- Responsible for filing vouchers and other relevant documents.
- Timely and accurate preparation of detailed schedules of Value Added Tax, Withholding, and other tax returns.
- Prepare various financial statement schedules and analyses in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards.
- Support Company's Accounting Manager in budget monitoring.
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Company's management.
- Must be a BS Accountancy graduate.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- At least 2-5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably 1-4 years experienced employees specializing in Finance – General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
- Strong mathematical and statistical skills for financial analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP Systems (e.g. SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, especially during month-end or year-end close processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
