Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Office Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:
The O&M Office Engineer primarily works remotely or from a central office, focusing on data
analysis, planning, reporting, and coordination to ensure the optimal performance of the
solar asset portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performance Monitoring & Analysis:

• Remotely monitor solar rooftop installations via monitoring software (SCADA, DAS).
• Track KPIs (Energy Generation, Performance Ratio, Availability).
• Analyze performance data to identify trends, deviations, and potential issues.
• Correlate weather data with system performance.
• Receive, acknowledge, and analyze system alerts and alarms.
• Perform initial remote troubleshooting and diagnosis of faults.
• Identify probable causes of failures or underperformance.

Maintenance Planning & Coordination:

• Develop and manage preventive maintenance (PM) schedules.
• Plan and coordinate corrective maintenance (CM) activities.
• Generate detailed work orders for field service technicians.
• Coordinate site access with building owners/facility managers.
• Optimize scheduling and logistics for field teams.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare regular performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly, annual) for clients and
  internal use.
• Document all O&M activities, incidents, and resolutions in a CMMS or database.
• Maintain accurate records of system configurations, warranties, and maintenance
  history.
• Prepare detailed incident reports for significant events.

Technical Support & Communication:

• Serve as a primary technical contact for clients regarding performance and O&M.
• Liaise between clients, field teams, suppliers, and management.
• Provide remote technical support to field technicians.
• Manage communication regarding planned/unplanned outages.

Spare Parts & Warranty Management:

• Track critical spare parts inventory.
• Initiate procurement for necessary parts.
• Manage warranty claims with equipment manufacturers.

Compliance & Safety Oversight:

• Ensure O&M activities align with contracts, regulations (e.g., relevant ERC guidelines),
  and safety standards from an oversight perspective.
• Assist in maintaining safety protocol documentation.

Process Improvement:

• Analyze O&M data to identify opportunities for performance and efficiency
  improvements.
• Contribute to refining O&M procedures and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Candidates must be at least Bachelor's/College degree in Electrical Engineering;
• With at least 2-3 years of related work experience in the solar industry, preferably with
  expertise in Huawei equipment.
• Knowledge of solar photovoltaic systems, electrical systems, and related components.
• Proficiency in using SCADA systems and other monitoring tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in both independent
  and team environments.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in using MS office (such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and AutoCAD.
• The successful candidate must be willing to conduct site visits for testing and
  commissioning.
