About the role

As the Safety Officer 3 at JBA Castillo Construction Services, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our construction site personnel and overseeing the implementation of robust health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices across our projects in Metro Manila. This full-time position is crucial in maintaining our commitment to industry-leading safety standards and contributing to the successful delivery of our construction initiatives.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and programs
  • Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Providing safety training and education to site personnel to promote a strong safety culture
  • Investigating incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure HSE considerations are integrated into all construction activities
  • Maintaining detailed records and reporting on HSE performance metrics
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant local and industry safety regulations and standards

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar safety-focused role within the construction industry
  • Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Certified as a Safety Officer or equivalent safety certification
  • Excellent knowledge of construction safety practices, hazard identification, and risk management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all levels of personnel
  • Proficient in using safety management software and data analysis tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive continuous safety improvements
