About the role

As a Safety Officer at Walls in Motion, Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our construction site personnel. This full-time position is located in Pasig City, Metro Manila, and will involve implementing and overseeing our comprehensive health, safety, and environmental protocols to protect our team and maintain compliance with industry standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards

  • Developing and delivering safety training programmes for all site personnel

  • Investigating incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

  • Collaborating with project managers and supervisors to integrate safety considerations into construction activities

  • Maintaining detailed records and reporting on safety performance metrics

  • Promoting a positive safety culture and encouraging safe work practices among all site workers

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry

  • Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to construction sites

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle safety-related issues

  • Excellent communication and training skills to effectively engage with workers at all levels

  • Proficiency in using safety management software and data analysis tools

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve safety objectives

  • Relevant safety certifications or training, such as COSH/BOSH are preferred
