Position Objective:
Responsible for managing, preserving, cataloging, and handling collections which typically include historical garments, accessories, photographs, and documents that contribute to the understanding of the evolution of fashion.

Qualifications:

1. Preferably, with a specialization or focus on archives and special collections.
2. Preferably, with work experience in a museum or a cultural institution.
3. Experience in preservation techniques, particularly for textiles and fragile materials.
4. Strong knowledge of archival principles, practices, and standards, like DACS, EAD, and metadata schemes.
5. Familiarity with textile conservation techniques and handling procedures for delicate materials.
6. Familiarity with cataloging software and digital archives.
7. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
9. Commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion in archival practices and museum programming.
