Role description:

The Intercompany Accounting Specialist reviews the preparation and completion of intercompany transactions that deals with the GEC resource and recharges. The role also takes on more complex tasks and ensures process adherence with the accounting standards, company policies and stakeholder's requirements.

Role accountabilities:

  • Process and review manual and automated intercompany invoices, ensuring compliance with policies and SLAs.
  • Support internal and external audits and collaborate with the audit teams to address inquiries, audit points and assist in providing documents.
  • Prepare and review invoice and month-end reports for GEC locations.
  • Reconcile incoming and processed invoices within the mailbox system.
  • Validate the alignment of intercompany-entity statements with ledger entries.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and related schedules.
  • Prepare and review month-end reports, including intercompany accruals and unaccounted invoices.
  • Handle complex queries on intercompany invoices, reports, accruals and unaccounted invoices.
  • Monitor and administer the mailbox system, assigning invoices to regional folders.
  • Assist in quarterly intercompany reconciliation and matching in Onestream.
  • Prepare and review revenue forecasts, analyze them against actual results, and discuss findings with the controllers.
  • Prepare reports to track collection status, create AR aging dashboards, and follow up on overdue items.
  • Identifies opportunities for standardization, process enhancements, and efficiency improvements while maintaining process documentation and flowcharts.
  • Provide knowledge sharing, support and guidance to other team members in terms of process delivery.
  • Act as the Officer-In-Charge when the General Accounting Manager I is on leave.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's/College Degree, major in Accountancy is required, CPA is required.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in financial/general accounting, audit.
  • Exposure in Shared service or Multinational environment is an advantage.
  • Experience in ERP systems is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills with proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Result oriented and attention to details.
  • Communicate effectively both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and a committed team player.
  • Can work on flexible hours to meet changing work environment and to meet tight deadlines.
