Responsibilities:

Assessment, Audit, and Assurance:

  • Assessment of the current firewall architecture and configuration, including hardware, software, and firewall rules.
  • Audit of firewall policies and procedures, including security measures such as access control, logging, and incident response.
  • Assurance of network traffic and firewall logs to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Assessment of firewall performance, including capacity, availability, and response times.
  • Recommendations for improving firewall security and performance, including configuration changes, software updates, and hardware upgrades.
  • Preparation of a detailed audit report, including a risk assessment, findings, recommendations, and action plan.
  • Support, including implementation of recommendations and ongoing monitoring of firewall security.

Hunting and Threat Intelligence:

  • Participation in threat hunting activities and work closely with the team in delivering services related to threat monitoring of cyber threats.
  • Utilization of threat intelligence feeds and systems to detect, classify, and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Analysis of the threat landscape and emerging threats, trends, and patterns to stay ahead of the threat actors.
  • Maintenance of threat intelligence reports, dashboards, and other information dissemination methods to provide stakeholders with up-to-date threat intelligence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT/Computer related course.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in cybersecurity with a focus on penetration testing and related methodologies.
  • Highly conversant in the English language.
  • Critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail and follow-up. Background in IT technologies, processes, and security operations.
  • Collaborative, responsible, and has personal accountability. Able to work with a team and individually with minimal guidance.
  • Resourceful, curious to learn, and can adapt to emerging security technologies and platforms.
  • Working experience in a shared services center. Knowledge of various guides and security frameworks (NIST, MITRE, CIS, ISO 27001, CVE, etc.).
  • Knowledge in IOCs, OWASP, and types of attacks, malware, threat actors, and vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge in different security monitoring platforms and cloud technologies.
  • Experience working in a global or regional environment.
  • At least one (1) industry-related IT certification.
