The Head of Service Delivery ensures the timely, high-quality completion of construction projects, overseeing both horizontal and vertical builds. This role focuses on operational excellence, client satisfaction, and continuous improvement while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimize efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.

I. Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Masters degree is an advantage.
  • Must be a licensed Civil Engineer.
  • With at least 15 years of experience in construction management, including a minimum of 10 years in leadership roles strictly within the construction industry.
  • Must have work experience in well-known construction companies and currently in a Director or VP level.
  • Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are preferred.

II. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee full project execution: Manage the entire lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring alignment with contractual agreements, client requirements, and business goals, while maintaining control over timelines, quality, and budget.
  • Create and execute project delivery strategies: Develop and implement strategies that optimize operational efficiency, reduce risks, and enhance overall project quality and outcomes.
  • Manage project teams and performance: Supervise project managers and site teams, ensuring they adhere to project timelines and meet safety and quality standards throughout the projects duration.
  • Monitor and analyze project performance metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure continuous improvement in project delivery and accountability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for resource optimization: Work closely with procurement, contracts, and commercial teams to ensure efficient resource allocation and cost management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships: Foster positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth and successful project execution and address any issues that arise.
  • Promote the adoption of technology and automation: Champion the integration of new technologies and process automation to drive efficiency and improve the service delivery process.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards: Ensure that all projects comply with relevant safety regulations, labor laws, and environmental standards, prioritizing the well-being of all stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations: Lead post-project reviews to assess performance and gather lessons learned to continually improve project delivery processes and outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop service delivery teams: Support the growth and development of a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
