The Ramp Supervisor monitors aircraft servicing activities and alerts concerned/flight dispatch accordingly if any abnormality is noted. Monitor arrival of flight deck and cabin crew in preparation for passenger boarding and secure boarding clearance, as applicable. Supervise loading of security items and special cargo including dangerous goods at compartment hold. Strictly observe loading limitations of aircraft, i.e., floor bearing capacity, structural compartment capacities, and other structural limits.

What You'll Do
  • Promotes and ensures compliance to Quality, Safety, Security, and Customer Service standards based on regulatory requirements, government laws, acceptable industry standards, and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain coordination with ramp and build up on the acceptance of baggage requiring special handling including dangerous goods.
  • Intercept at planeside all bulky and oversized hand-carried baggage and instruct loaders to attach a Limited Release Tag (LRT) on it and ensure to load it at the door side.
  • Coordinate with Baggage Build-up Area (BBA) and Ramp Equipment Operator (REO) all activities and processes are completed in respect to offloading of guests.
  • Confirm with the Customer Service Agent gate in charge of all onboard signals and last bus departure (for shuttle operation).
  • Oversees cargo inspection and accurate preparation of documentation (i.e., cargo manifest, airway bill, NOTOC) (only applicable to stations with cargo acceptance).
  • Ensure that the Lead Cabin Crew is provided with necessary documents like a signed Load sheet, General Declaration and Passenger Manifest, and other information on special handling such as infants, guests requiring special handling, etc.
  • Monitor the release of cargo. Monitors storage as applicable (only applicable to stations with Cargo acceptance).
  • Coordinate with Centralized load control about loading instruction reports or individual or cumulative weights exceeding the normal allowance.
  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the Immediate Supervisor.

An ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any aviation, logistics, or related field.
  • At least 1 year in ground handling, ramp services, or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with airport operations and safety procedures.
  • Leadership and Decision-Making skills.
  • Analytical Skills and Excellent Communication skills.
  • Ramp operations awareness.
Internal Eligibility Criteria
  • Tenure of 1 year in the company.
  • Has been in the current role/station for at least 12 months (for those promoted/transferred).
  • No disciplinary record for the last 12 months or not enrolled in a Performance Improvement Plan in the last 6 months.
  • Must have at least a score of 3 in the last Performance Appraisal.
