Role Overview

The IT Solutions Engineer for Hosting will be responsible for delivering and maintaining high-quality IT solutions for hosting services. This role involves providing technical guidance, supporting project implementations, and managing operational activities to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as an escalation point for complex technical incidents from the Service Desk and stakeholders.
  2. Identify hosting requirements and collaborate with the Strategy & Architecture team for design and delivery.
  3. Engage with project teams to establish operational acceptance criteria and facilitate smooth transition into operations.
  4. Maintain documentation, knowledge articles, and adhere to best practices.
  5. Manage relationships with hosting suppliers, ensuring SLA compliance and escalation when necessary.
  6. Support the Hosting Services Team Leader and act as their deputy when required.
  7. Follow incident, problem, and change management processes as per Aurecon standards and SLAs.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations and implementation roles.
  • Experience working within ISO standards or similar frameworks.
  • Strong project implementation background.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Server 2016 or above, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange 2016 or above, VMware vSphere 7.0+, and backup/storage management.
  • Experience with vulnerability and patch management, ServiceNow, and industry certifications (ITIL, Microsoft, VMware, Azure) are a plus.
