
Project Manager, Global Implementation Practice

Overview - The Project Manager is accountable for all aspects of the project life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, communicate, control, close). Must be familiar with system scope and project objectives to assemble the project team, assign responsibilities, and develop a schedule to ensure timely completion of the project. The Project Manager measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor progress, identifies variances (in time, cost, scope or quality), performs corrective actions, communicates status and risks to all stakeholders, and ensures adherence to quality standards for project deliverables.
Responsibilities- Manages projects from conception to production, ensuring delivery aligns with budget, timeline, and quality standards to meet client expectations.
- Develops and manages detailed project plans; aligns stakeholders and team members on the plan and manages task execution to achieve project goals.
- Makes project decisions and recommendations to management about schedules, prioritization, and resource allocation with input from others as needed.
- Works closely with Resource Managers/Team Leads to ensure adequate allocation of resources.
- Measures project performance and progress, identifies variances, performs corrective actions, and communicates to all stakeholders.
- Documents risks, assumptions, and constraints; develops and tracks risk mitigation and issue resolution plans; implements actions and workarounds to mitigate project and commercial risk.
- Manages changes to project scope, schedule, and costs in accordance with the change management plan.
- Interfaces with functional and business areas affected by the project, including senior and/or executive management.
- Communicates and reports status to executives and other stakeholders (e.g., status reports, executive briefings).
- Manages the project budget, collaborating with the finance team to oversee and report financials, including funding requests and ongoing resource allocation.
- Applies project management best practices and Strada standards; collaborates with third party providers to deliver contractual commitments.
- Drives process improvement within the project management domain and captures lessons learned.
- Ensure compliance to Strada standards across delivered projects.
- Escalate issues through the appropriate channels and raise senior management awareness as needed.
- Share best practices and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
- Deliver project reporting and maintain information systems in accordance with Strada's standards.
- Commercial awareness
- Technical understanding of required solutions for delivery
- Project Management expertise with ability to educate as a SME in PM processes and tools
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or PRINCE2 certification or equivalent preferred (or working toward certification within 12 months)
- 3–5 years of PM experience; 7+ years of professional experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Experience with global customers and teams
- Experience managing complex projects with tight timelines and multiple priorities
- HR consulting, payroll, and outsourcing industry experience; vendor management experience
- Ability to manage budgets in excess of $1M
- Experience with professional PM tools: MS Project, Smartsheet or equivalent
- Virtual or office-based work environment
- Willingness and ability to travel (10–25% on average)
