Job Summary:
The VR Training Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of virtual reality (VR) training programs. This role ensures the seamless integration of VR technology into training and education initiatives, coordinating with instructional designers, trainers, and technical teams to deliver immersive learning experiences. The manager will also manage program logistics, evaluate effectiveness, and optimize VR content for engagement and skill-building. Additionally, they will provide technical support, train staff on VR systems, and stay updated on emerging VR trends to enhance program offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning and execution of VR training programs.
- Collaborate with educators, developers, and stakeholders to create immersive learning experiences.
- Manage VR hardware, software, and troubleshooting needs.
- Train instructors and users on VR platforms and best practices.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in VR technology.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Multimedia Arts, Hospitality, Education or any related field
Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in VR program development, instructional design, or technology-based training.
- Experience managing VR hardware and software in an educational, corporate, or training environment.
- Background in e-learning, simulation training, or immersive technologies is highly preferred.
- Experience in project management and team leadership.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of VR/AR technologies and their applications in training and education.
- Proficiency in VR platforms, software (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, VR training simulations), and hardware (VR headsets, motion tracking, etc.).
- Excellent communication and training skills to support users with varying levels of tech proficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting VR systems and improving program effectiveness.
- Project management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple teams and deadlines.
- Creativity and innovation in designing engaging and effective VR learning experiences.
- Ability to stay updated with emerging VR trends and integrate them into training programs
