ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Finance Support Analyst, you will join the team as a junior member, contributing to the operations and projects of the Accounting, Accounts Payable, or Trust Account Management departments. Your department preference will be considered during the interview process. In addition, you will have the opportunity to transition and redeploy to another department based on your professional development plans and the organization's business requirements.

Job responsibilities

Accounting:

  • Perform transactional accounting and end-to-end financial reporting preparation.
  • Prepare and process month-end work and other reporting deliverables.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliation and ensure balances are legitimate and properly supported.
  • Maintain fixed asset register, prepayments, and monthly journals. Ensure all expenses and revenues are accounted within the reporting period.
  • Manage intercompany transactions for all entities assigned.
  • Prepare working papers for tax lodgements and regulatory requirements.

Accounts Payable:

  • Manage accounts payable processing, employee reimbursement expense claims, and supplier invoicing while ensuring adherence to standard processes and policies.
  • Verify details of expense against invoices and related documents to ensure compliance with policy.
  • Coordinate with required parties to carry out activities, including but not limited to, securing missing approvals and supporting documents, escalating necessary configurations in Concur, and monitoring supplier updates in SAP ByDesign.
  • Coordinate with team members for proper handling of out-of-scope transactions.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks and provide required deliverables.

Trust Account Management

  • Handle daily client receipt processing (via file uploads or individual manual payments) properly recording and matching them against policies in the system and bank statements.
  • Handle daily reconciliation of trust account movements to system transactions.
  • Process regular payments to insurers, authorised representatives and client refunds.
  • Process income and GST drawings.
  • Handle month-end close and report running process for multiple brokers.
  • Process and send invoices to clients.
  • Assist in gathering evidences and support for broking system audit.
  • Assist in ad-hoc and general queries, as required.

Process Improvements

  • Handle process improvements and provide support to Continuous Improvement Team.
  • Provide inputs to refine/improve standardized processes to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate process delivery.
  • Prepare and update all necessary documentation, (e.g. checklists, templates, process maps, and manuals/procedures) for all functions in accordance with the agreed scope of services.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Must have a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting.
  • Open for fresh graduates without work experience and budding professionals who have experience in Finance for less than a year.
  • Willing to work during Australian working hours (starts at 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. PHL time).
  • Continuous process improvement mindset and pro-activeness.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in producing work output.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills and document analysis.
  • Ability to execute processes to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate information delivery.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Excel and SAP ByDesign will be an advantage.
  • Ability to effectively work with the team and others to meet timelines, objectives, and KPIs.
  • Eagerness to take full responsibility for tasks assigned.
  • Good interpersonal and time management skills, especially when liaising with counterparts and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of motivation and commitment to honesty and flexibility to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
