As a Scrum Master, you are a Delivery Manager and Project Manager who utilizes Agile methodologies. You should be able to answer questions like, "Have you led any scrum teams?" This role typically involves overseeing a team of 4-5 people (usually developers and a QC) to ensure that every 2-week sprint has tasks and activities assigned, tracking them to the end delivery of that sprint.

  • As a person who leads by example, champions innovation and quality, and knows how to deliver, you will be responsible for:
  • Facilitating the delivery of working software from concept to live using Agile methodologies.
  • Helping align business goals with release plans to ensure timely delivery of features.
  • Fostering collaboration among teams and protecting the team from external influences or distractions.
  • Arranging and leading agile ceremonies, including daily scrum, sprint planning, refinement sessions, discovery sessions, sprint demo, and retrospectives.
  • Challenging the team to improve processes and inspiring them to find new, better ways of working.
  • Identifying and mitigating delivery risks.
  • Driving, tracking, and communicating the progress of sprints and releases through team velocity and burn down charts.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:

  • Strong practical experience and understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, XP, BDD, and TDD.
  • 2-3 years of experience working as a true Scrum Master.
  • Experience in teams delivering complex projects on time and schedule, resolving problems at the team and organization level.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven experience managing stakeholders and teams.
  • Experience in estimation techniques and planning for software development projects.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with wider non-agile teams.
  • Stakeholder management with statistics around tasks, backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, and user stories.
  • Demonstrable ability to self-manage, be proactive, take ownership, build relationships, and drive solutions from inception to production.

The role will work onsite at our Manila office in BGC and operate within Australian/US Time Zones.
