ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Month-End Close: Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and timely.
• Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
• Budgeting: Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
• Auditing: Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Tax Preparation: Assist in preparing and filing federal, state, and local tax returns and reports.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes, including variance analysis and financial performance metrics.
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

ABOUT YOU:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics or Business Central ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
• Organizational Skills: Managing multiple tasks, prioritizing workload, and meeting deadlines.
