Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Platform Engineer with a strong focus on AWS and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services and a solid foundation in DevOps methodologies.

Role Responsibilities

· Engineer and deploy highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS.

· Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Gitlab

· Implement monitoring and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

· Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

· Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, security, and resilience.

· Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure system resilience.

· Collaborate with software development teams to integrate and deploy applications seamlessly.

· Troubleshoot complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.

· Ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

· Stay current with the latest AWS services, DevOps tools, and industry best practices.

Experience / Competences

· Extensive experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on AWS.

· In-depth knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM and EKS.

· Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

· Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

· Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

· Platforms; Windows Server, Amazon Linux, RHEL, Ubuntu

· Experience with container orchestration and management using Kubernetes and EKS.

· Strong understanding of network architecture and network security best practices in AWS.

· Good understanding of security best practices for AWS Services implementation.

· Experience in designing and implementing resilient systems, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

· AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).

· Experience with advanced monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

· Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).

· Knowledge of Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms (such as wiz.io, Prisma Cloud, etc)
