Job Description

The Consumer Insights Manager is responsible for:

  • Adopt a holistic, strategic, and customer-focused perspective of the client in the Philippines, integrating insights from the competitive landscape, consumers, Representatives, and the economic environment.
  • Collaborate with external consultants on strategic business development research.
  • Continuously enhance innovative methods to share this information across the organization in alignment with the business planning process, aiding the creation of activation plans based on these insights.
  • Identify local business challenges and adjust project goals for global initiatives in the Philippines, considering these factors.
  • Optimize the IMI learning plan for marketing and provide comprehensive support to the company's planning processes. Additionally, serve as the in-country coordinator for relevant global projects, ensuring that the results are translated into specific strategic actions in the Philippines, including integration with complex Analytics projects.
  • Assist the Marketing team with relevant and actionable category analysis and offer research support to other departments in the Philippines, enabling them to take insight-driven actions.
  • Share relevant research with the APAC markets, offering actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Regularly assess and challenge the current research methods within the department to ensure their relevance, accuracy, and efficiency, making improvements as needed.
  • Ensure this process is aligned with key marketing functions and complies with global research protocols.

The Successful Applicant

The Consumer Insights Manager has:

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic marketing, business development, or consumer insights, ideally within the beauty, FMCG, or consumer goods industry.
  • Proven track record in managing market research projects and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and analytics.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer behavior.
  • Expertise in market research methodologies and tools, including qualitative and quantitative research, and the ability to assess the effectiveness of research practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the local market (in this case, Manila, Philippines) and regional dynamics in the APAC region.
