Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise departmental activities, including:
  • Closing monthly accounts
  • Preparing profit and loss reports
  • Updating balance sheets with supporting schedules
  • Submitting statistical reports for operational trends
  • Posting business transactions in ledgers
  • Calculating management fees and owner's share
  • Reconciling bank statements, inter-company, and owner accounts
  • Preparing monthly account analyses, barter agreement statuses, and profit budget schedules
  • Verifying disbursement documents such as petty cash vouchers, payment vouchers, cash advances, and demand drafts

Other Duties:

  • Maintain accounting files, policies, and bulletins
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas
  • Review quarterly F&B operations reports for discrepancies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage daily work schedules and conduct briefings
  • Ensure adequate staffing and effective communication with related departments
  • Handle personnel actions, including leaves, disciplinary measures, and commendations
  • Assist in budget preparation and support audit processes
  • Prepare statistical reports for management or ownership
  • Serve as acting Controller in their absence

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand all departmental roles and policies
  • Maintain service standards and supervise staff to optimize revenue and control costs
  • Ensure grooming standards and energy conservation

COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate effectively with guests, clients, and partners
  • Promote the hotel's brand and participate in community projects

HUMAN RESOURCES RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coach, evaluate, and train staff
  • Motivate employees for growth and better management

RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Report to the Director of Finance and Accounting
  • Supervise accounting staff and coordinate with other managers
  • Interact with clients, guests, officials, and suppliers

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Engage in continuous learning and perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • At least 7 years of accounting management experience, preferably in a 5-star environment
  • Experience in hospitality industry accounting is highly regarded
  • Proficient in English communication
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
