Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Maintenance Section Head, the Electrical Technician implements approved maintenance and calibration programs, work instructions, and guidelines to ensure the quality, safety, and uninterrupted operation of production equipment. The role includes developing work instructions for operations, preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-the-floor response to operational issues:
  • Work with production for immediate responses to deviations.
  • Support root cause investigations for timely repairs.
  • Perform corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risk.
  • Support improvement projects:
  • Aim to improve yield, reduce cost, and optimize processing cycle times.
  • Update records and ensure compliance:
  • Update records that affect productivity, including proper SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Follow safety, environmental, and audit compliance objectives.
  • Support engineers and other groups (Maintenance, Automation, Technology, Quality, and Planning).
  • Obtain certifications and provide assistance:
  • Obtain certifications as needed.
  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of all production equipment of Natura plants, including connected utilities.
  • Adhere to a strict maintenance schedule and ensure timely completion of activities.
  • Work schedule:
  • Amenable to working on shifts or as assigned by the engineer in charge.
  • Inventory and safety:
  • Use inventory parts properly to ensure uninterrupted service to D&L manufacturing operations.
  • Follow safety policies and guidelines in accordance with food safety (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), IMS, SQMS, TPM, pest control, and general housekeeping (5S).
  • Policy implementation and enforcement:
  • Implement an Integrated Management System (IMS) and Good Housekeeping/Manufacturing Practices.
  • Strictly follow and ensure that policies and practices are understood and conformed to by subordinates, including IMS/QHSSE Policy, Housekeeping (5S, GMP), and Safety (PPE, SDS/MSDS, signs/warnings, work permits).
  • Conduct safety activities:
  • Conduct orientations for new workers on plant safety programs, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Attend safety meetings/toolbox meetings regularly.
  • Conduct Aspect/Impact and Hazard/Risk assessment reviews annually or as needed.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the work area, report safety issues/hazards, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure enforcement and implementation of corrective, preventive, and improvement action plans.
Qualification and Education Requirements:
  • Education:
  • Technical or Vocational Course.
  • Experience:
  • With experience in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in manufacturing or industrial plants.
  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of basic computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
