The Role: Senior Analyst, Usage Analytics / Usage Enablement

Commercial analytics is part of S&P Global Market Intelligence's CGO organization. The team empowers stakeholders with predictive analytics, prescriptive business recommendations, building productivity tools and driving automation via analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop usage analytics solutions and maintain and enrich existing tools.
• Analyze product usage data to identify trends and insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide insights.
• Develop and maintain usage analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators and suggest improvements. Lead discussions to support strategic decision-making.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Handle quick-turnaround ad-hoc analytics projects.
• Interact with global stakeholders to understand their needs and continuously improve business problems.
• Monitor the usage of the tools built by the team.
• Engage with top users and collect feedback.
• Drive next-generation analytics on unstructured data. Mentor junior analysts and collaborate with peers.

What We're Looking For

• Proven record of building interactive dashboards in Power BI with advanced usage of DAX.
• Expertise in at least one, preferably two, programming languages such as Python, R or SQL.
• Experience in data modeling, data schemas, data understanding, query optimization, query profiling, and performance monitoring tools.
• Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work well in teams.
• Strong listening skills and ability to articulate ideas and complex information clearly.
• Good time management and communication skills.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Analytics, or Economics.
• Excellent skills in MS-Excel & Power BI.
• Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R or SQL).
• Exposure to big data environments and OLAP queries preferred.
• Basic skills in MS-Word & MS-PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of work experience with analytics solutions.
• Experience building analytics solutions and maintaining them from scratch with minimal supervision.
