Engineering Assistant Manager

The Engineering Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising, analyzing, recommending, and standardizing refrigeration systems, compressed air systems, power systems, steam systems, and preventive maintenance of equipment. The role includes managing the daily plant engineering activities.

  1. Ensures effective planning and accomplishment of preventive maintenance tasks according to plan.
  2. Evaluates daily monitoring of technician activities regarding refrigeration system operation and maintenance.
  3. Assists in troubleshooting and initiates system upgrades.
  4. Ensures the availability of power, steam, compressed air, water, and fuel.
  5. Ensures compliance with all internal and external auditing bodies.
  6. Ensures the completion of customer-initiated work orders.
  7. Initiates and conducts pre-bid and bid evaluations and recommends suppliers/contractors for the project.
  8. Determines and initiates the purchase of spare parts and monitors spare parts inventory.
Job Qualifications:
  • A graduate of Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering courses.
  • Preferably, a licensed Engineer.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in managing refrigeration and HVAC systems within a food manufacturing plant, ideally with involvement in similar production lines.
  • Proficient in process equipment, refrigeration, ventilating systems, electrical power, water, steam, compressed air supply systems, and other rotating equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills and a high level of tolerance to stress.
  • Must be amenable to work onsite in Canlubang, Laguna.
