Responsibilities- Research and stay updated on latest and emerging technologies related to the Company's products and services.
- Research and understand the applicability of new technologies to the Company's products and services, and champion necessary innovations within the Company to take advantage of said technologies.
- Meet with new and current customers and stakeholders (internal and external) to understand their challenges and explore and provide possible solutions.
- Prove the feasibility (technical and financial) of proposed solutions through the development and presentation of proofs-of-concept and feasibility studies.
- Train and mentor software engineers in the implementation of technical solutions.
- Propose updates to the technical stack and technical standards of the organization and projects, whenever applicable.
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based or traditional (on-premises) infrastructure to be used internally or by customers.
- Design and implement manual and automated deployment processes.
- Lead the optimization of existing and future infrastructure for cost, stability, and security.
- Help develop project budgets and implementation plans based on proposed technical solutions.
- Alongside the VP for Technology, assist in overseeing and management of project implementations to ensure they are within budget and schedule.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, business administration, computer science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in an IT services/solutions firm as a product/solutions engineer.
- Preference for or a certification as a Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- Familiar with Google Suite of solutions and open systems-based app architecture/programming (web and mobile).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills; the ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.
- Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
