About our team/department:

Our in-house engineering team builds applications and services for internal and external clients in industries spanning Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, Consumer Electronics, Transportation and beyond.

We believe in using the latest technology to build innovative and immersive experiences for our clients in a scalable and secure way. Whether on AWS, Azure or GCP we decide the infrastructure and implementation detail based on the needs of the project. What does a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer do at Hogarth?

Our engineers develop interactive, immersive, and engaging experiences across a wide variety of channels. The role turns a creative concept into a real customer experience, by utilising leading edge technology and AI services to deliver the best experience for our clients.

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team who has brilliant, problem-solving skills capable of developing, supporting, and maintaining our enterprise grade software applications. Utilising progressive development practices, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology, and proactively supporting various initiatives in the team to improve application design, code quality and maintainability.

Technical skills:

  1. Strong experience in NodeJS
  2. Experience in React and/or Vue.js framework
  3. Experience in relational and/or document databases
  4. Experience in Azure Cloud Technologies
  5. Experience in Cloud AI Services
  6. Microservices and Domain Driven Design
  7. Git and Git workflows
  8. Experience in CI/CD pipelines and YAML pipelines (GitHub actions)
  9. Applying SOLID principles and using Test Driven Development practices

Desirable Technical Skills:

  1. Experience with Python
  2. Experience with Azure APIM
  3. Experience with MongoDB Atlas
  4. Experience in .NET Core using C#
  5. Experience in Angular frameworks
  6. Experience with AWS Cloud Technologies

Requirements of the role:

  1. Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology
  2. Work independently and within the team adhering to high technical standards, developing first-class solutions that meet our client needs and quality expectations
  3. Work effectively within an agile, deadline-driven production process to complete project tasks within rapid, iterative cycles
  4. Provide accurate estimates for existing and new projects alike
  5. Lead the development effort from a technical perspective
  6. Be an integral part of the code review process, providing constructive feedback against code produced by other team members
  7. Ensure good communication is maintained with other team members/departments throughout project life cycles
  8. Work closely with Team Leaders, Product and Project Managers to ensure that projects are taken from creation to completion - on time and on budget
  9. Work closely with Solution Architects to ensure correct Engineering Principles and Practices are incorporated into the design and delivery of solutions
  10. Accountable to lead development projects
  11. Demonstrable experience in solving complex problems
  12. Ability to work on a variety of projects to write concise, clean and understandable code, applying appropriate design patterns, in a test-driven manner; developing first-class applications that meet our client needs and quality expectations
  13. Write unit and integration tests to ensure they meet the acceptance criteria
  14. Use standard refactoring methods and appropriate design patterns to ensure code is kept in a maintainable state
  15. Keep abreast of the latest trends in applications development and continually develop software engineering skills
  16. Investigate and participate in discussions on technical best practices and help identify optimal technical solutions
  17. Actively contribute to departmental learning and standards through involvement in presentations/demonstrations, and participate in the continual drive for collaboration and knowledge sharing
  18. Train and mentor other members of the team
