We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager – Fixed Income Clearing & Settlements.

Principal responsibilities

  1. The job holder is responsible to support the successful settlement of cash bonds and repo transactions through several operations processes such as affirmation, pre-settlement matching, trade amendment, counterparty interactions (i.e. chasing, query resolution), value date settlement, manual payment, fails management and investigation.
  2. Process' Subject Matter Expert – providing support to the business, the clients and team members.
  3. First point of escalation for operational issues within the team and able to communicate, address, and resolve issues with the relevant areas in a timely manner.
  4. Ensures that all operational controls are observed and where the opportunity exists, improved to reduce overall risk exposure within the process.
  5. Ensures that all reporting requirements applicable to their role are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard.

Requirements

  1. A post-graduate diploma or degree in any discipline. Higher qualification is not a bar provided aspirations are commensurate with the position.
  2. 3-5 years experience in Market Operations.
  3. Experience handling a team - Good Leadership skills.
  4. Securities Fixed Income Experience is required.
  5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  6. In depth knowledge of Fixed Income- cash bonds, Repo product, transactions and processes is an advantage.
  7. Good Microsoft Office Skills with good numerical and analytical skills.
  8. Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills.
