Translate and research Japanese financial documents for S&P Global's Market Intelligence team, supporting global data workflows and collaboration.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Researching, scanning, and translating parts of articles and financial documents from Japanese (and other languages in the candidate's portfolio) into English.
  • Escalating concerns promptly and through the correct line of communication.
  • Collaborating across other workflows within the Translations POD team (Fundamentals/Market Data & Private Equity).
  • Working on new projects as assigned according to company requirements.
  • Reading market-specific news publications and distributing translated texts to processing centers using proprietary software.
  • Working closely with colleagues in Manila, India, and Pakistan, and providing daily reporting and timely responses to co-workers.
About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficiency in English.
  • Keen interest in translation and strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of computers and desktop applications (Microsoft XP, Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook).
  • Willingness to be cross-trained in other workflows as required.
  • Inquisitive and investigative nature.
  • Internet savvy.
  • Proactive attitude, high motivation, and positivity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication across teams.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong prioritization, multitasking, and deadline management skills.
