Job OverviewOur team is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and process-driven Student Manager who can perform various administrative and logistical tasks efficiently and effectively to support the College Team members, consultants, and clients. Our Student Manager is a key contributor to the team's success and client satisfaction by providing stakeholders with premium, personalized services in preparation for college admissions. They will be responsible for overseeing and streamlining communication between clients and various departments, coordinating workflows, managing data processes, and ensuring that the goal of accommodating the client's needs and requests is met.
Our ideal candidate is familiar with education, has exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and is able to produce quality research and present the information in a comprehensive and systematic format. The position requires a high level of resourcefulness, initiative, and flexibility due to the fast-paced nature of admissions. You will be assigned to handle individual student cases, as well as all college admissions-related tasks and requests made by the clients.

Responsibilities- Client Communication: The Student Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring correct, timely, and effective delivery of all company communications. Responsibilities include conveying important information such as research findings, reminders, updates, and other relevant messages while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and clarity in all interactions.
- Research: The Student Manager serves as a key resource for conducting high-level research under the Consultant's directives and guidance to support client needs. They are expected to maintain accuracy, thoroughness, and clarity in all research deliverables, ensuring that findings are presented in a client-friendly format and updated as needed to reflect the latest information. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Best-Fit Schools: Analyze and recommend schools that best match the client's academic interests, extracurricular strengths, and personal preferences, using a data-driven approach to ensure optimal fit.
- College Application Requirements: Research and summarize admission criteria, required documents, deadlines, and unique application components for a range of colleges and universities tailored to each client's profile.
- Summer Program Applications: Identify, evaluate, and compile information on relevant summer programs that align with client interests and goals. Provide detailed application requirements, deadlines, and recommendations.
- Extracurricular Activities: Research, curate, and recommend a list of relevant internships, academic competitions, volunteer opportunities, and community service programs tailored to the client's academic and extracurricular profile.
- Data Management: The Student Manager collects, organizes, updates, and maintains comprehensive client information to facilitate personalized services according to individual needs and requirements while ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of all data handled. They are expected to obtain and accurately record personal information, academic transcripts, and other relevant school documents from clients while ensuring that all sensitive information is protected against unauthorized access or disclosure.
- Administration and Logistics: The Student Manager coordinates and oversees daily office activities in collaboration with team members, clients, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication. They are expected to monitor and support the implementation of administrative and logistical processes across the team, including, but not limited to:
- Handling all incoming and outgoing client communications, including emails and written correspondence.
- Directing inquiries to the appropriate College Team member, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, including scheduling, document preparation, and meeting coordination.
- Perform onboarding tasks for new staff or students, ensuring all records are accurately maintained and updated.
- Prepare and maintain regular reports and dashboards to support decision-making and highlight key metrics.
- Business Development: During the off-season, the Student Manager can expect to work on projects that contribute to the growth of the team and company overall.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Creative Writing, or other related fields.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective engagement with consultants, written emails and messages with clients, and internal stakeholders. Capable of tailoring communication style to suit different audiences and contexts, ensuring clarity and professionalism at all times.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and developing strategic solutions. Demonstrated experience in applying problem-solving skills to complex situations, allowing for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Demonstrated expertise in utilizing productivity software, including Google Docs, Google Sheets, and other collaborative platforms. Proficient in navigating web-based business tools such as Gmail, Slack, and similar communication or project management systems to facilitate efficient workflow and information sharing.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple demands, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
- Experience engaging and dealing with diverse children, teenagers, young adults, and their families in educational or community settings. Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate across school systems or institutions, utilizing multiple channels (e.g., email, phone, in-person meetings) to ensure clear and effective information exchange.
- Experience in working successfully within multidisciplinary teams, leveraging the diverse skills, abilities, and knowledge of colleagues to achieve shared objectives. Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, contributing to group problem-solving and project execution.
- Experience working during PST hours is preferred
- Experience working for an education consulting company specializing in college admissions is preferred
