Job Description

OBJECTIVE

  • Assist the Design Leads on designated projects.
  • Help achieve project objectives with minimal design changes, fostering repeat business and maintaining relationships with design consultants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce high and low-resolution 3D models for production.
  • Create detailed technical and fabrication drawings from 3D models.
  • Clean up and modify 3D models in preparation for fabrication.
  • Review and QC technical and fabrication drawings.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, 3DS Max, Rhino, SolidWorks, REVIT, and Navisworks.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely and within-budget project execution.
  • Assist with safety management in design as per the Project Safety Management Plan.
  • Support budget management and cost-effective design solutions.
  • Identify design risks and scope gaps.
  • Help manage project schedules for procurement and construction.
  • Implement design management processes to meet project objectives for time, quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain harmonious relationships with consultants and clients.
  • Represent the company professionally and uphold its brand image.
  • Lead by example to foster a positive work environment and strong work ethic.
  • Follow requirements under the Project Quality and Environmental Management Plans.

COMPETENCIES (QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE)

  • Open to fresh graduates or candidates with at least 1 year of experience in Design Engineering.
  • Knowledge of fabrication and construction design methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, construction, and fabrication drawings.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with scripting and software plugins.
  • Proficiency in scaled models, drawings, and drafting tools (AutoCAD, 3DS Max, Rhino, SolidWorks, REVIT, Navisworks).
  • Understanding of project management and budgeting tools.
