Assistant Project and Program Consultant

Role description

As part of the Project and Program Management team, you'll help deliver some of the biggest, most iconic projects imaginable, with some of the best talent around. You'll deliver transformational outcomes for multiple clients every day.

Role accountabilities

• Work within established standard operating procedures to assist in tasks such as the production of delivery output and schedules for projects, monitor and review project information, to identify discrepancies and ensure management has up-to-date and accurate project information.
• Individually contribute to professional assignments and monitor to support the delivery of projects to time and quality standards.
• Accountable for delivery of timely and accurate data collection, analysis and reports.
• Prepare documents such as project plans and schedules by collating and interpreting data.
• Analyze project data and trends to develop recommendations that aid senior colleagues in decision-making.
• Proactively monitor and evaluate project management processes to identify opportunities for improvement and advise on enhancements.
• Act as a focal point for operational queries, providing specialist advisory support and ensuring alignment between policy and practice.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management, etc.); master's degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in project and program management, including at least 3 years leading teams on large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Proficiency in project/program management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, PowerBI, Autodesk Construction Cloud) and familiarity with methodologies/frameworks (e.g., PMI, APM, Agile); highly skilled in MS Office applications.
• Preferably with professional certification or chartered status (RICS, APM, PMP, PRINCE2, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively interact with high-level stakeholders, build relationships, and negotiate with external parties.
• Comprehensive knowledge of project/program management methodologies and an understanding of the broader business context.
